Issue 3 of BLEACHED BLEACHED presents a grouping of poems by Stephanie Rioux.
Poetry may not be a regular encounter, but it can softly raise a voice that might have been too soft to hear from the start. It can be a surprise, an exclamation! and a strangely familiar embrace. Poetry’s many costumes secure the possibility of how words can stretch and reach.
Some of these pieces touch on love, beginnings, play, a vision, a dream—things seen casually and at times more formally depending on your moment. Delight in this selection and delight in how a poem can just “be” with you.
Stephanie Rioux is a writer living and working in Southern California, teaching, ghostwriting, editing, etc. She went to CalArts, earning her MFA in writing in 2005.
